Rotary Chanakya was formed   by a group of like-minded dedicated Rotarians and noble citizens of Patna who joined the family of 1.2million Rotarians worldwide to take part in community service efforts worldwide.

The members represent people from varied professions and cross-section of the society.

Rotary Chanakya has worked relentlessly since its formation and has provided its services towards key issues of global concern like:

Children at Risk
Rotary Chanakya has dedicated itself to immunising children against polio and is successfully running  Polio centres in Patna.

Disabled Persons

As part of its service towards the 600million people worldwide having disabilities Rotary Chanakya has successfully organized Artificial Limb Camps in Patna and have helped in making a large number of disabled persons self-reliant.

Health care

Each year,millions die from preventable diseases and the death toll from childbirth and waterborne diseases is staggering.Rotary Chanakya have helped restore families and communities by organizing health check up and awareness camps in remote rural areas,maternity centres and arranging eye surgeries for poor people.As part of the service towards safe drinking water and water harvesting Rotary Chanakya has undertaken this project at a Government High School in Maner.
About 45 handpumps with bore-well is being installed at  Phulwarishariff at an estimated cost of Rs.18.50 lacs for providing safe drinking water to the needy people under MATCHING GRANT PROJECT.

Literacy and Numeracy

Rotary Chanakya has adopted and is successfully supporting a Primary School at a slum locality in Adalatganj,Patna .
